It all started when…
Following a hugely successful caree in fashion as a top UK model, Catalina has been featured on covers and in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, UK Maxim, FHM (including the sexiest women of the year top 100), Loaded, Sky magazine and many more. She also was the face of international campaigns for Lynx body spray, Dove, Wella, Puma, Toni & Guy and walked the runway for designers including Vivienne Westwood, Michiko Koshino, Rifat Ozbec and Scott Henshall during London and Milan Fashion Weeks.
Catalina became a household name in the UK in the 90s during the 'Cool Britannia' and 'Brit Pop' years, launching her television career as Chris Evans side kick 'Gorgeous Girl' on the award winning cult TV show ‘TFI FRIDAY’ on UK Ch. 4. A series of opportunities followed including her own shows 'Catalina's Clips' on Granada TV, and ‘Spice’ on VH1. Her celebrity status grew when she appeared in the second season of the monster hit show 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here', in the Australian Jungle- the biggest show in the UK, appearing as a celebrity guest and starring in reality shows. Feeling the need to step out of the spotlight she moved to Los Angeles full time in 2003 where she made the difficult transition from model/TV star to a business executive as a director and co creator of one of the first web music TV sites and running a boutique PR company, BritChicks PR for fashion, photographers and musicians.
TRIVIA: In 2004 she was featured in Esquire Magazines ‘30 Most Eligible Women’ along with Liz Hurley and Kylie Minogue and had more press column inches than anyone in the UK in 2003, coming second under David Beckham! She also can play the violin and had a songwriting deal with Universal Music!
Following the death of her Father in 2010, Catalina was made the sole director of the acclaimed artist’s estate and has spent the last 8 years working to rebrand the Spanish artist who was particularly significant in the 70s and 80s with works in major galleries and museums worldwide including the Reina Sofia Museum, Spain. As head of the Guirado Estate she, with a small team of art professionals, has managed every detail in the running and business strategy of the estate. From curating shows herself to overseeing the curation of exhibitions in Spain, UK and the US, marketing the artwork through social media and press, building relationships with the worlds top art professionals, museums and galleries and promoting the art and artist with cultural and educational programming.

The Guirado Estate, which comprises more than 400 works by Juan Antonio Guirado, was founded in London in 2013 by the painter’s only daughter, in order to continue his legacy and promote his significant work. At the same time, Guirado Estate established a cultural and educational platform which encompasses research and the production of cultural events. It has been a busy year for the Guirado Estate with a collaboration with Los Angeles based Virtual Reality studio FLOAT, creating a VR art installation “Guirado - Rebirth” (premiered at 2017’s Miami Art Basel), a museum tour of Juan Antonio Guirado’s works at the Coral Gable Museum, FL in the US and a prestigious group show of rarely seen works by Picaso, Miro, Tapies, to name but a few, alongside works by Juan Antonio Guirado in March 2018 at the University of Jaén, Spain.
The versatility of Catalina Guirado’s professional trajectory combined with her extensive experience in the art world is the driving force behind Guirado Estate.
